Studio12 has moved to a new bigger and better space within the library, we can now work with a lot more people and do more exciting creative media projects. Come and check out the new space! We are now on the 1st Floor in the Library, next door to the old studio.

The new space has been updated with new hardware and software. A flexible workshop and filming area with Green/blue screen facilities. 12 Apple Mac computers running the latest software. We can accommodate groups of up to 25 people.

Raw talent in the Making

Studio12 is an audio visual media project providing free access to a production studio, training, accredited qualifications and an Industry Panel of creative professionals working in design, music, video and media arts.

Training takes place at the production space in Central Library and events across the city.

Who Can Take Part in Studio12?
People aged 16 – 30 who are living in Leeds, with priority given to people not in education and employment.

What Happens at Studio12’s Production Base in Central Library?
People taking part in Studio12 create a range of Media related project depending what people want to produce. Studio12 is designed to help produce your ideas into something REAL. Training works on a one to one basis, so best to get in touch.

You can access a range of hardware and software to produce your project. including Sony HD cameras, digital SLR's, Photography and film studios, keyboards scanners, and tablets. You can use a range of software and training to produce your project including: Reason, Logic, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro ,Photoshop, 3D studio Max, Flash, Dreamwearver, and Aftereffects.

Bring your ideas and visions to the studio and make it happen.

Participants can choose to complete an Open College Network Qualification in Audio Visual Media Production, levels 2 & 3. We also are now delivering the Arts Award.

Work is critiqued by Industry Panel of creative professionals. Current panellists include representatives from Channel4, BBC and Utah Saints.

Work will be showcased on the Studio12 website, BBC Big screen and at Studio12 events in the City Centre.

What Happens in taster session?
Taster session are available for community groups and youth organisation based in the leeds area. This is a relaxed introduction to some of the project’s opportunities in Film animation, photography and music production.

Training will not take more than 16 hours per week and should not affect benefits.

No more than 14 people will be in each session.
