inter-cool 3.0 takes place from September 17th to November 28th in 2010 at U in Dortmund/Germany, at the redesigned former brewery.
Within the bounds of European Culture Capital Ruhr 2010 – starting with the Ruhr region, the exhibition focuses on European dimensions of youth life today.
Beside Dortmund inter-cool 3.0 will be shown in the partner cities of the TWINS network, in Leeds (England) and Tampere (Finland), additionally in Vienna (Austria).
In the center of the exhibition are the pictorial and media worlds of kids, teenagers and young grown-ups. inter-cool 3.0 doesn’t like to be an art exhibition about the young, it is designed for and aimed at them, open for their individual participation. Works of creative heads of the young generation shall be shown, who even create new forms of art through fashion, music, photography, video, fanart.
A key role plays the first building block of the exhibition, the U-gallery for young artists: Space for the presentation of fresh new media artworks. Through the exhibits (present: call for works at Universities, Art Academies, schools, youth education centers), competitions (compete: a beloved and well tested form among teenagers), workshops (produce: resulting artworks can be a part of the exhibition afterwards, if chosen), and guided tours through the exhibition with the young (discuss:) expertise of various peer-cultures will present itself.
The second building block presents objects of everyday life, originating from the youth culture archive Frankfurt/Germany (http://web.uni-frankfurt.de/fb09/kunstpaed/indexweb/jukult/start.htm) and other sources (donations from brands (selection): Carhartt, Clarks, Miss Sixty, Dr. Martens, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, Vans, Converse).
Art as the third building block of inter-cool 3.0 will present a wide range of photography, video, installation and street art from young international artists.
Tell Jamie or Staff if you have anything you would like to show/submit. You have a look at current works by going to: http://www.inter-cool.eu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=59&Itemid=76

As part of our ongoing education work Pavilion runs a relational mentoring programme that pairs up visual artists with young people from our local community. The programme enables participants to explore aspects of their lives and the world around them through a series of visual art experiences. Each mentoring situation is different and tailored to the interests and aspirations of each young people but broadly includes looking at and talking about art, visiting exhibitions and developing creative skills. Mentors are trained in facilitative listening and emphasis is placed upon the discursive nature of the programme.

Heads Together’s current company structure includes a (very) small central team developing three or four major programmes of work. Each programme is run by a small team co-ordinated by a Project Manager.
A lot of the people who work with us are ʻportfolio workersʼ: freelancers who like to do a range of different activities. We offer them an opportunity to maintain that independence but be part of a team and be involved with the development as well as delivery of the work.
We are suggesting a similar opportunity for these two project manager roles. We will offer a 12-month provision of services contract for a fee of £12,000 which would be reviewed and renewed annually..
